Professor Chen Peng Will be the Executive Editor of ACS Chemical Biology from 2022
2022-02-17
Chen Peng, a professor at the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University, Special professor of the Yangtze River scholar and a senior researcher at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. During the past ten years, he focused on the development of chemical reactions on living cells and chemical biology research and developed genetic coding and protein manipulation techniques based on chemically active unnatural amino acids. He solved some of the bottleneck problems of protein research in living cells, and applied them to proteins in the fields of mechanism research and drug development.
“At ACS Chemical Biology, we thrive to make our journal a premium platform to publish the most innovative findings that are highly appreciated in both chemistry and biology communities. While maintaining its high standard and integrity, ACS Chemical Biology should take an active role in stimulating innovations at the interface of chemistry and biology by proactively engaging with international academic and industrial communities. We believe by tapping into a highly diverse author space, particularly the rapidly expanding Chinese chemical biology community and the next-generation young scientists, the journal will be able to collect the most exciting discoveries and technologies to benefit our broad audience of chemists, biologists and the entire society. As a flagship journal in chemical biology, we will make every effort to enhance the visibility and impact of the journal to promote continuous evolution of interdisciplinary research paradigms.”
